The Zhengzhou Airport to Xuchang City Regional Railway starts from Chang'an North Station, Zhengzhou Aviation Port Area in the north and ends at Xuchang East Station in the south. The total length of the railway is 67.13 kilometers, with a total of 27 stations. The Xuchang section spans 33.7 kilometers with 11 stations, including 9 elevated stations and 2 underground stations.

This is the first fully automatic, dual-city integrated regional railway in China, with a total travel time of 75 minutes and a maximum fare of 10 yuan. The entire line adopts the highest-level international fully automatic driving operation system, with a maximum speed of 120 kilometers per hour. More than 10 operational core systems such as communication systems, operating trains, and signal systems utilize intelligent technology, demonstrating outstanding technological advancement, high safety, and reliability. It has become a high-capacity and rapid commuter and industrial line within the Zhengzhou-Xuchang corridor. During peak hours, the train interval is approximately 10 minutes, while during off-peak hours, it is around 15 minutes. The first train departs at 6:00, and the last train leaves at 21:00.

The Zhengzhou Airport to Xuchang City Regional Railway is the backbone of the intercity rail transit network in the Central Plains Urban Agglomeration, connecting Xinzheng Airport, Zhengzhou Aviation Port Area, Changge in Xuchang, and the central urban area of Xuchang. It traverses the core area of the Zhengzhou-Xuchang industrial belt and links ten industrial parks within Xuchang, playing a profound and significant role in promoting deep integration between Zhengzhou and Xuchang, the coordinated development of the two cities, and supporting the high-quality construction of the Zhengzhou metropolitan area.
