On July 30th, the 2024 Roundtable Conference for German-invested Enterprises in Henan Province was held in Xuchang. The representative from the German Chamber of Commerce in Shanghai delivered a report on China’s German-invested enterprises and their investment fields. Representatives from 12 German-invested enterprises operating in Henan attended the conference and delivered speech.

During the conference, representatives from 12 German-invested enterprises , including ALBA, Befesa, and Purem, not only shared their achievements and gains but also candidly discussed the difficulties they encountered during their development and offered their opinions and suggestions.

"ALBA's kitchen waste disposal project rapidly increased its output after the pandemic, with Phase I achieving full production and operation. We are now seeking to expand the collection and transportation scope."

"Purem's Xuchang factory was established at a record speed, and its production and operations have gradually stabilized. We hope the government will introduce more incentive and support policies to further enhance the company's competitiveness."

The foreign-invested enterprises roundtable conference is an important platform for promoting the development of foreign enterprises. In 2023, the Henan Provincial Department of Commerce focused on the key pain points reported by foreign-funded enterprises, established project ledgers, followed up, and actively coordinated to resolve issues, injecting new momentum into high-quality enterprise development. This year, the roundtable conference introduced policy briefings for foreign-funded enterprises, which has received positive feedback.

The conference aimed to enhancing communication and cooperation between Xuchang and foreign-invested enterprises. In recent years, Xuchang has established mechanisms for cooperation with Germany (Europe), attracting several internationally renowned companies to invest in the city. Several foreign-invested projects have been launched, and the China-Germany (Xuchang) Industrial Park, covering a total area of 16 square kilometers, is now under construction. Xuchang remains committed to advancing a market-oriented, rule-of-law, and internationalized business environment to support the healthy development of enterprises.
